MYTH AND HISTORY
Bathe in this ancient source of water, surrounded by a rising mist, it is easy and contemplate the 3000-year-old myth. Saturn threw his thunderbolt in fury at mankind’s warring, it split the Saturnia rock to release hot sulphurous water from the centre of earth.
Terme di Saturnia has grown up around this Natural Hot Spring. Since opening in 1919 we have become a world renowned five-star spa resort for health and wellbeing.

WELCOME TO OUR HOT SPRING POOLS
We invite families and friends to share Terme di Saturnia’s miraculous source in a series of Hot Spring Pools next to our private resort. Join us for joy and wellbeing plunging in the warm waters, with mud therapies and saunas. Visitors can access the medi-spa for treatments and upgrade to the Club with its exclusive facilities. From the pools the source continues its journey rushing through meadows to the Saturnia Waterfalls.
FROM SOURCE THE CASCADES
The long journey of our healing water begins with rain falling on the slopes of Mount Amiata. It flows for 40 years underground bubbling up into the Natural Hot Spring at the centre of our 5-star Resort. On it rushes, continuously replenishing the Hot Spring Pools, then through the meadows of Saturnia to eventually form the iconic cascades.
